Preparation

1

Prepare the Coffee

Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. You can add a splash of coffee liqueur if desired.

2

Whisk Egg Yolks and Sugar

In a mixing bowl, combine the egg yolks and granulated sugar. Whisk together until the mixture is pale and creamy.

3

Add Mascarpone

Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until smooth. Be careful not to deflate the mixture.

4

Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Then, gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.

5

Soak the Ladyfingers

Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee for about 1-2 seconds, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

6

Layer the Tiramisu

In a rectangular dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

7

Chill the Dessert

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

8

Dust with Cocoa

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.
