Method

Cooking Pasta

1

Boil Water

Fill a large pot with water and add 1 tablespoon of salt. Bring to a rolling boil.

2

Cook Spaghetti

Add 400 grams of spaghetti to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

3

Reserve Pasta Water

Before draining, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water for later use.

4

Drain Pasta

Drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.

Preparing Sauce

5

Cook Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 150 grams of diced bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

6

Mix Eggs and Cheese

In a bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs, 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper until well combined.

Combining Ingredients

7

Combine Pasta and Bacon

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the bacon. Toss to combine and remove from heat.

8

Add Egg Mixture

Quickly pour the egg and cheese mixture over the pasta while tossing rapidly to prevent the eggs from scrambling. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until a creamy sauce forms.

9

Serve

Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese and black pepper on top.
