Preparation Steps

1

Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils and combine them with the sugar. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.

2

Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the glass with the muddled mint and sugar mixture. You can also drop the squeezed half into the glass for additional flavor.

3

Add Rum

Pour the white rum into the glass, mixing it with the mint, sugar, and lime juice to combine the flavors.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes until it's nearly full. This will help keep your mojito chilled.

5

Top with Club Soda

Slowly pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is filled. This adds a refreshing fizz to your mojito.

6

Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with additional mint leaves and a lime wedge if desired. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients before serving. Enjoy!
