Steak

Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.

Compound Butter

  1. 4

    Prepare the Compound Butter

In a bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, and salt. Mix until well combined.

  2. 5

    Shape the Butter

Transfer the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper. Roll it into a log shape and twist the ends to seal. Refrigerate until firm.

Truffle Parm Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 7

    Dry the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel. This step is important for achieving crispy fries.

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 9

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt, drizzle with truffle oil, and toss with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
