Method

Eggs

  1. 1

    Cook the Eggs

In a non-stick skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over easy, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.

Meat

  1. 2

    Prepare the Sausage or Bacon

In the same skillet, add the sausage or bacon slices. Cook until crispy and browned, about 3-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and let drain on paper towels.

Seasoned Potatoes

  1. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

Dice the russet potatoes into small cubes. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the potatoes and season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden and tender.

Creamy Grits

  1. 4

    Prepare the Grits

In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in the grits and salt. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring often, for about 20-25 minutes until thickened. Stir in the butter and milk before serving.

Biscuits

  1. 5

    Bake the Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the milk until just combined. Roll out the dough and cut into rounds. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
