Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a saucepan and fill it with enough water to cover the eggs by about an inch. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Eggs

Once the water reaches a boil, cover the saucepan with a lid and remove it from heat. Let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cool the Eggs

After the cooking time, carefully transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for at least 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Peel the Eggs

Once the eggs are cool, gently tap them on a hard surface and peel the shell off. Rinse under cold water to remove any shell fragments.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Filling

Cut the peeled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks into a medium bowl. Place the egg whites on a serving platter.

  2. 6

    Mix the Ingredients

Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, and paprika to the yolks. Mash together until smooth and creamy.

  3. 7

    Add Optional Ingredients

If using, finely chop fresh chives and fold them into the yolk mixture.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Fill the Egg Whites

Using a spoon or piping bag, carefully fill the egg white halves with the yolk mixture.

  2. 9

    Garnish

Sprinkle additional paprika over the filled eggs for garnish.

  3. 10

    Serve

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy your deviled eggs!
