Method
Preparation
- 1
Prep fruit
If using fresh fruit, wash, hull, peel and dice as needed. For best texture chill or freeze banana and other fruits for at least 2 hours if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie.
- 2
Measure liquids & add-ins
Measure cold water and Greek yogurt. If using boosters (chia, oats, protein), measure them now. If using sweetener or vanilla, have them ready.
Blending
- 3
Layer ingredients
Place liquids (water and yogurt) in the blender first. Add soft fruits (banana) next, then firmer or frozen fruits (strawberries, mango, pineapple, blueberries). Sprinkle in ice cubes and any boosters or sweeteners.
- 4
Blend to smooth
Secure lid and blend on medium-high for 45–90 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides once if necessary. Blend until completely smooth and no large fruit or ice pieces remain. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons water and pulse; if too thin, add a few more frozen fruit pieces or 1/4 cup ice and blend again.
- 5
Serve & Garnish
- 6
Pour the smoothie into two tall glasses (or one large). Garnish with mint leaves and fruit slices. Optionally sprinkle chia seeds or a few oats on top. Serve immediately with a straw.
