Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub the mixture all over the ribs and let them sit for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Soak the Wood Chips

Soak the oak wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes before using them in the smoker.

  4. 4

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the soaked oak wood chips in the smoker. Put the ribs on the smoker rack and cook for about 4 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature of 225°F (107°C).

  5. 5

    Baste the Ribs

After 2 hours of smoking, baste the ribs with olive oil and apple cider vinegar mixture to keep them moist.

  6. 6

    Finish Cooking

Continue smoking the ribs for the remaining 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C).

  7. 7

    Rest and Serve

Remove the ribs from the smoker, let them rest for 15 minutes, then slice and serve.
