1. Prepare the Tempura Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the tempura batter mix with ice water until just mixed. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.
2. Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there is enough oil for deep frying.
