Method

Salad Bar Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Greens

Wash and dry the romaine and spring mix lettuce. Tear the romaine into bite-sized pieces and place both types of lettuce in a large serving bowl or platter.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber into bite-sized pieces. Cut the broccoli into small florets. Arrange all the chopped vegetables neatly around the lettuce in the serving bowl or platter.

  3. 3

    Add Shredded Carrots

Sprinkle the shredded carrots over the top of the arranged salad.

  4. 4

    Prepare Dressings

Pour the French dressing and balsamic vinaigrette into small serving bowls and place them on the salad bar for guests to use.

Soup Preparation

  1. 5

    Choose Soups

Select three of the soups from the options provided (Chicken Noodle, Cream of Potato, Cheddar Broccoli, Chicken Tortilla, Cheesy Potato Bacon, or Chili).

  2. 6

    Heat the Soups

In a large pot, heat each chosen soup over medium heat until warmed through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  3. 7

    Serve the Soups

Ladle the soups into serving bowls or a large serving pot. Ensure to keep them warm for the buffet.
