Burger Preparation
- 1
Roast the Garlic
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and wrap in aluminum foil. Roast in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and caramelized. Let cool, then squeeze the roasted garlic out of the skins into a bowl.
- 2
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, roasted garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties, making a small indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
- 3
Cook the Burgers
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and add a slice of Cedar Valley mozzarella on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

Serve
Serve the burgers immediately with a side of ranch dressing for dipping. Enjoy with a cold Surly Nitro Coffee Ale!
