Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Whisk together until well combined. Gradually add the beer to the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth and slightly thick.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, pour in the vegetable oil. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C) over medium-high heat. Use a thermometer to ensure the oil is at the right temperature.

Batter the Onion Rings
Dip each onion ring into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow any excess batter to drip off before frying.

Drain and Serve
Once fried, remove the onion rings with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
