Ingredients for Martini

Method

Directions for Martini

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Hendrick's Gin or Tito's Vodka, 0.5 oz of Cinzano 1757 Dry Vermouth, and 2 dashes of orange bitters.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice cubes. This helps to chill and dilute the mixture properly.

  4. 4

    Shake or Stir

Shake the shaker vigorously for about 15 seconds or stir gently with a bar spoon for about 30 seconds, depending on your preference for a shaken or stirred martini.

  5. 5

    Strain into Glass

Disgard the ice water from the chilled glass and strain the mixture from the shaker into the martini glass.

  6. 6

    Garnish

Add a lemon twist or an olive as a garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy your martini!
