Chicken Strips

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into strips, approximately 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. In another bowl, whisk the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip into the flour mixture, coating it evenly. Next, dip it into the whisked eggs, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs. Place the breaded strips on a plate.

  4. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry Chicken Strips

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil. Fry in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Toss in Sauce (Optional)

If desired, toss the hot chicken strips in your choice of sauce: buffalo, honey garlic, BBQ, or dry rubs (black & bleu, Nashville hot, garlic parmesan).

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the chicken strips hot with a side of ranch or Gritty sauce for dipping.
