Preparing the Salad Base

Wash and Chop Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water to remove any dirt. Shake off excess water and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

Prepare Grape Tomatoes
Rinse the grape tomatoes under cold water. Slice them in half lengthwise and set aside.

Slice Red Onion
Peel the red onion and slice it thinly, separating the rings. Set aside.
Making the Buttermilk Dressing

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh dill (if using) until smooth and well combined.

Taste and Adjust
Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or pepper to your preference.
Assembling the Salad

In a large salad bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce, halved grape tomatoes, and sliced red onion.
