Preparing the Margarita

Prepare the Glass
Begin by preparing your glass. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass to moisten it. Dip the rim into salt to coat it evenly. Set aside.

Blend the Ingredients
In a blender, combine the peeled and diced prickly pear, tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup. Blend until smooth.

Add Ice
Add the ice cubes to the blender and pulse a few times to crush the ice and blend it into the mixture until you reach your desired consistency.

Pour and Garnish
Pour the prickly pear margarita mixture into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and a couple of slices of prickly pear on the rim for an appealing presentation.
