Brewing Instructions

  1. 1

    Mashing

In a large pot, heat 12 cups of water to 150°F (65°C). Add the pale malt and rice, stirring well. Maintain the temperature for about 60 minutes.

  2. 2

    Boiling

After mashing, bring the mixture to a boil. Add the hops and boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Cooling

Cool the wort rapidly using a wort chiller or an ice bath to about 70°F (21°C).

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the yeast and seal the vessel with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks.

  5. 5

    Bottling

After fermentation is complete, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of water and add it to the beer before bottling. Bottle the beer and cap it.

  6. 6

    Conditioning

Let the bottles condition at room temperature for 1-2 weeks before refrigerating.
