Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Spicy Tuna Mix

In a bowl, mix the diced tuna with spicy mayo and a pinch of salt. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. 3

    Slice the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice it into thin wedges.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Fire Starter

On a nori sheet, spread a thin layer of sushi rice, leaving a little space at the edges. Layer with spicy tuna, avocado slices, and micro greens. Roll the sushi tightly and seal the edges with a bit of water.

  5. 5

    Add Seared Salmon

Top the rolled sushi with seared salmon slices and drizzle with kobachi sauce. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

  6. 6

    Slice and Serve

Slice the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces and serve with additional spicy mayo and soy sauce if desired.
