Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Shrimp and Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, diced onion, and diced red bell pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are softened and fragrant.

  2. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 4

    Make the Sauce

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 5

    Add Marinara and Basil

Stir in the marinara sauce and chopped basil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. 6

    Combine Shrimp and Sauce

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce. Cook for an additional minute until everything is heated through.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Serve

Serve the shrimp scampi over the cooked linguine pasta. Garnish with additional basil if desired. Enjoy!
