Brew espresso
Pre-warm your latte cup. Brew a single shot of espresso (about 30 ml) directly into the cup.

Steam milk
Steam 240 ml of whole milk to about 65°C (149°F) with a thin layer of microfoam. Keep the milk smooth and glossy.

Combine milk with espresso
Pour the steamed milk into the cup with the espresso, tilting the cup slightly and pouring in a steady stream.

Top with microfoam
Top the latte with a microfoam layer, about 30–60 ml, using a spoon to hold back foam while pouring, then spoon the foam on top.
