Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the picanha sirloin steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust time to achieve desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Cook the Plantains

Peel the sweet plantains and slice them diagonally. In a separate skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and fry the plantain slices until golden brown on both sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare Avocado

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash lightly with a fork and season with salt to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

On a serving platter, layer slices of the rested picanha steak, mashed avocado, fried sweet plantains, and pickled onions. Drizzle with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Serve with a dollop of cream cheese on the side.
