Caesar Cocktail

Method

Caesar Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare the glass

Take a highball or pint glass and run the lime wedge around the rim to moisten it. Mix the celery salt and coarse salt on a small plate and dip the moistened rim into the salt mixture to create an even salted rim. Set the glass aside.

  2. 2

    Add ice

Fill the prepared glass with ice cubes, leaving room at the top for liquid and garnishes.

  3. 3

    Build the cocktail

Pour 2 oz Smirnoff vodka over the ice, then add 4 oz Clamato juice. Add 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 3 dashes of your preferred hot sauce. Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 10–15 seconds to combine and chill the drink evenly.

  4. 4

    Taste and adjust

Taste the cocktail and adjust seasoning to your preference: add an extra dash of Worcestershire for umami, an extra dash of hot sauce for heat, or a squeeze more lime for brightness.

  5. 5

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with the lime wedge on the rim and a celery stalk. Optionally skewer an olive, pickled bean, or cooked shrimp and rest it on the glass. Serve immediately with a straw.
