Biscuit and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Assembly

  1. 1

    Make the Biscuit

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the milk until just combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a circle about 1-inch thick and cut into desired shape. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Toppings

While the biscuits are baking, cook the hash browns according to package instructions or until golden and crispy. In a separate pan, cook the sausage, bacon, or ham until heated through. Fry the eggs to your preference.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Dish

Once the biscuits are baked, place one biscuit on a plate. Top with the cooked hash browns, followed by two eggs, and add the cooked sausage, bacon, or ham on top.
