Wagyu Beef Skewer Ingredients

Method

Wagyu Beef Skewer Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. If using metal skewers, set them aside.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Cut the wagyu beef sirloin into 1-inch cubes. In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, and half of the cumin seeds. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Skewers

Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the skewers, alternating with pickled cherry peppers. Aim for 4-5 pieces of beef per skewer, separated by a cherry pepper.

  4. 4

    Toast the Cumin

In a small dry skillet over medium heat, toast the remaining cumin seeds for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

  5. 5

    Grill the Skewers

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.

  6. 6

    Glaze with Honey

During the last minute of grilling, brush the mieli thun honey over the skewers to create a sweet glaze.

  7. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and sprinkle with chopped fresh dill and the toasted cumin. Serve immediately.
