Fried Pickles Ingredients

Method

Fried Pickles Directions

1

Prepare the Pickles

Slice the dill pickles into thick slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

2

Make the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well. In another bowl, pour the buttermilk.

3

Coat the Pickles

Dip each pickle slice into the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat it in the flour mixture. Make sure each slice is evenly covered.

4

Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

5

Fry the Pickles

Carefully add the coated pickles to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Flip halfway through for even cooking.

6

Drain and Serve

Once fried, remove the pickles and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
