Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling a martini glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the drink.

In a mixing glass, add ice cubes to fill it about halfway.

Pour in 2 ounces of gin and 0.5 ounces of dry vermouth over the ice.
