Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Coat each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip in the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- 3
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- 4
Add Sauce and Cheese
Pour the tomato sauce over the chicken breasts in the baking dish. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- 5
Bake the Dish
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 6
Cook the Pasta
While the chicken is baking, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 7
Serve
Serve the chicken parmigiana over a bed of spaghetti, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
