Preparation Instructions
- 1
Make the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Shape and Bake Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- 3
Heat Marinara Sauce
In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warm.
- 4
Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Once the meatballs are done, add them to the warm marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the sub rolls and fill each with meatballs and marinara sauce. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 6
Melt the Cheese
Place the assembled subs under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 7
Serve
Serve the meatball subs hot with a side of french fries.
