Method

Entree

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the beef steak and pat it dry with paper towels. This helps in achieving a nice sear.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Sides

  1. 5

    Prepare Mashed Potatoes

Boil the mashed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, salt, and black pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 7

    Cook Green Beans

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and season with a little salt and pepper.

Bread

  1. 8

    Prepare Garlic Bread

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 9

    Mix Butter and Garlic Powder

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder.

  3. 10

    Spread on Bread

Slice the loaf of garlic bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.

  4. 11

    Bake the Bread

Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
