Method
Cooking Pasta
- 1
Prepare the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Cooking Chicken
- 2
Cook the Chicken
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
Making the Sauce
- 3
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well, and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining Ingredients
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss until the pasta is evenly coated in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of pasta water to thin it out.

Serve
Plate the pasta and top with sliced chicken. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your homemade Chicken Alfredo!
