Prepare the Tofu
Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut it into slices about 1/2 inch thick.
Sear the Tofu
Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu slices and sear each side until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and let cool.
Assemble the Maki
