Fried Chicken

Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces and buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Coat and Fry
Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture and carefully place in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Mac & Cheese

Cook the Macaroni
In a large pot, cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine and Bake
Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring to combine. Transfer to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Collard Greens

Cook the Collards
Add chopped collard greens to the pot, stirring to mix. Pour in chicken broth, season with salt and pepper, and cover. Simmer for 30-45 minutes until greens are tender.
