Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, if necessary. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Ribs
In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture evenly over the ribs, covering both sides. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate for 2 hours for better flavor.
- 3
Preheat the Smoker
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C) using a mild wood such as apple or cherry for a sweet smoke flavor.
- 4
Smoke the Ribs
Place the ribs on the smoker grates bone-side down. Smoke for about 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C) and the meat is tender.
- 5
Optional Saucing
If you prefer sauced ribs, apply your favorite BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes of smoking.
