Pulled Pork

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rub

In a bowl, mix together smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a dry rub.

  2. 2

    Rub the Pork

Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is well-coated. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

  3. 3

    Smoke the Pork

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the pork shoulder in the smoker and cook for about 8-10 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).

  4. 4

    Shred the Pork

Once done, remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. Then shred the pork using two forks.

  5. 5

    Add BBQ Sauce

Mix the shredded pork with apple cider vinegar and BBQ sauce, adjusting the sauce to your taste.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns, topped with coleslaw if desired.
