Sauce (optional)

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Marinate

Cover the bowl and let the wings marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for more flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    For Smoked Wings

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the wings in the smoker and smoke for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  2. 4

    For Crispy Wings

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.

Saucing (if desired)

  1. 5

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the buffalo sauce and honey, stirring until combined and heated through.

  2. 6

    Toss the Wings

Remove the wings from the oven or smoker and toss them in the sauce until evenly coated.
