Method

Brisket Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Brisket

In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and liquid smoke. Rub this mixture all over the brisket.

  2. 2

    Cook the Brisket

Place the seasoned brisket in a slow cooker and pour the beef broth over it. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until tender.

Baked Beans Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Baked Beans

In a saucepan, combine the canned baked beans, chopped onion, brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, and smoked paprika. Cook on medium heat until heated through, about 10-15 minutes.

Cornbread Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  2. 5

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter. Combine with the dry ingredients.

  3. 6

    Bake the Cornbread

Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
