Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes over the meat.
- 2
Make the Vinegar Sauce
In a separate bowl, mix together the apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- 3
Cook the Pork
Pour the vinegar sauce over the pork in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 4
Shred the Pork
Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwiches
Toast the buns if desired. Spoon the barbecue pork onto the bottom half of each bun, top with coleslaw, and place the top half of the bun over the slaw.
- 6
Serve
Serve the barbecue pork sandwiches warm with extra coleslaw on the side.
