Method
Preparing the Tea

Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.
Sweetening the Tea

Add Sugar
While the tea is still warm, add 1 cup of granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Chilling and Serving

Cool the Tea
Allow the sweetened tea to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, transfer it to a pitcher.

Refrigerate the tea for at least 1-2 hours, or until it is chilled.
