Preparing the Tea

Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Steep the Tea
Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on desired strength.

After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them. If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or honey while the tea is still warm to dissolve it completely.
Chilling the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour.
Serving the Iced Tea

In a tall glass, add 1 cup of ice cubes.

Fill the glass with chilled tea, leaving some space at the top.
