Method

Preparation of Meats

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through. Once done, remove from skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In the same skillet, add the sausage links and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let cool slightly before slicing.

  3. 3

    Cook the Boudin

In a pot of boiling water, add the boudin links and simmer for about 10-12 minutes. Remove from water and let cool slightly before slicing.

Cheese Arrangement

  1. 4

    Slice the Cheeses

Cut the cheddar, brie, and goat cheese into bite-sized pieces or wedges. Arrange on a large platter in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

Spreads Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Jams

Open the jars of jam and lemon curd. Place them in small bowls on the platter for easy access.

Biscuit Preparation

  1. 6

    Warm the Biscuits

If using store-bought biscuits, warm them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until heated through. Place them on the platter.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Breakfast Charcuterie

On a large serving platter, arrange the cooked bacon, sliced sausage, and boudin. Add the sliced cheeses and small bowls of jam and lemon curd. Finally, add the warmed biscuits to the platter. Serve immediately.
