Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are coated evenly. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are hot and ash-covered.

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-6 minutes, then carefully flip and grill for an additional 4-6 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 5

    Add Lemon and Dill

During the last minute of grilling, add lemon slices on top of the salmon and sprinkle with fresh dill if desired.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with additional lemon slices and your choice of sides.
