Prepare the Burger Patties

Mix the Beef
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.

Form Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form them into loosely packed balls.
Cook the Patties

Sear the Patties
Place the beef balls on the hot skillet. Using a spatula, smash each ball down to form a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms.

Flip and Add Cheese
Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of American cheese on each one. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
Assemble the Burger

Prepare the Bun
Toast burger buns lightly if desired.

Layer Ingredients
On the bottom bun, add a layer of lettuce, followed by the cooked patties with melted cheese. Top with sliced white onion and drizzle guac sauce and burger spread. Finally, place the top bun.
Serve with Duro Chips
