Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this mixture over the ribeye steaks and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Place the marinated ribeye steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on thickness. During the last minute of grilling, add fresh rosemary on top to infuse flavor.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel. Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

  4. 7

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
