Salmon
Lemon Butter Sauce
Method
Preparing the Salmon
- 1
Season the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides of the fillets with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 3
Sear the Salmon
Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them, until the skin is crispy.
- 4
Flip the Salmon
Using a spatula, gently flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Making the Lemon Butter Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter and let it melt, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- 6
Add Garlic and Lemon
Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, stir in lemon juice and lemon zest.
- 7
Finish the Sauce
Add chopped parsley, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
