Cooking Supplies

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Shape the mixture into a patty about 1 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 3

Grill the Ham and Bell Peppers

In a skillet, add olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell pepper and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes. In the last minute of cooking, lay the ham slices in the skillet to warm through.

  2. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate pan, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 5

    Fry the Onion Ring

If using frozen onion rings, cook them according to package instructions until crispy. If making homemade, dip onion slices in batter and fry until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, place the beef patty. Top it with the grilled ham, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, sautéed bell peppers, and the fried onion ring.

  2. 7

    Add BBQ Sauce

Drizzle BBQ sauce over the toppings and place the top half of the burger bun on top.
