Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of each steak with olive oil, ensuring they are well coated. Season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C). Make sure the grill grates are clean and oiled to prevent sticking.

Grilling the Steak

  1. 3

    Grill the Ribeye

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them, until a nice crust forms.

  2. 4

    Flip and Continue Grilling

Flip the steaks using tongs and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer your steak more done. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

Optional Sides Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Asparagus and Tomatoes

While the steaks are resting, wash the asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Trim the ends of the asparagus and place them on the grill alongside the tomatoes for about 5-7 minutes until tender, turning occasionally.

  2. 7

    Finish with Garlic

For added flavor, add whole garlic cloves to the grill for the last few minutes of cooking. This will infuse the sides with a delicious garlic aroma.
