Burger Patty

Fried Jalapeños

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patty

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.

Fried Jalapeños

  1. 4

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Slice the jalapeños into rings and remove the seeds if desired.

  2. 5

    Make the Batter

In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 6

    Fry the Jalapeños

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Dip each jalapeño ring into the batter and carefully place it in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

  1. 7

    Prepare the Sandwiches

Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat.

  2. 8

    Add Cheese

Layer four slices of cheddar cheese on top of the bread in the skillet. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.

  3. 9

    Grill the Sandwiches

Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 10

    Layer the Ingredients

Place the cooked beef patty on one grilled cheese sandwich. Top with the fried jalapeños. Cover with the second grilled cheese sandwich.

  2. 11

    Serve

Cut the burger in half to reveal the layers and serve immediately.
