Prepare Salad Base

Wash and Chop Romaine Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Remove any wilted leaves, then chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

Add Parmesan Cheese
Grate or shave the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the chopped romaine lettuce in the salad bowl.

Add Croutons
Add croutons to the salad bowl, mixing gently to combine with the lettuce and cheese.
Make Dressing

Prepare the Dressing
In a medium bowl, finely mince the garlic clove. Add the anchovy paste, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk together until well combined.

Emulsify the Dressing
Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while continuously whisking to emulsify the dressing. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Assemble Salad

Combine Salad and Dressing
Pour the dressing over the salad base in the large bowl. Toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly with the dressing.

Add Protein (Optional)
If using grilled chicken, slice it and place it on top of the salad before serving.
