Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

Rub the pork ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Ensure the ribs are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Wrap and Cook

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Cook in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  2. 5

    Cook the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and let simmer for 20-30 minutes until thickened.

Final Cooking

  1. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, carefully unwrap them and place them on a grill or under a broiler. Brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce over the ribs.

  2. 7

    Finish Cooking

Grill or broil the ribs for an additional 10-15 minutes, basting with more sauce, until they are caramelized and slightly charred.

  3. 8

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the heat, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
