Burger Patty

Method

Cooking the Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined. Form into two equal patties, each weighing approximately half a pound.

  2. 2

    Grill the Patty

Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place equal amounts of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese on each patty. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place the cheeseburger patty. Top each patty with sliced jalapeños and a generous portion of pulled pork.

  3. 6

    Add the BBQ Sauce

Drizzle BBQ sauce over the pulled pork and jalapeños to your taste.

  4. 7

    Complete the Burger

Finish by placing the top half of the bun on each burger. Serve immediately.
