Cooking the Burger

Prepare the Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined. Form into two equal patties, each weighing approximately half a pound.

Melt the Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place equal amounts of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese on each patty. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
Assembling the Burger

Prepare the Buns
While the burgers are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place the cheeseburger patty. Top each patty with sliced jalapeños and a generous portion of pulled pork.

Add the BBQ Sauce
Drizzle BBQ sauce over the pulled pork and jalapeños to your taste.

Finish by placing the top half of the bun on each burger. Serve immediately.
